Web Design in Sri Lanka.
Web design in Sri Lanka — fast, brand-led, conversion-focused websites built on modern stacks. Landing pages, marketing sites and product surfaces from Uniix Studio.

Web design that earns the visit, then the customer
Most Sri Lankan websites in 2026 are designed for the agency portfolio, not the visitor. Heavy hero animations that crater load time. Marketing copy that says nothing in five paragraphs. Forms that ask for everything and convert nothing. Designs that look stunning at 1440px and break on the phone the customer is actually using.
We design websites that work backwards from a customer outcome — book a meeting, request a quote, buy a product, learn enough to qualify. Every page exists to move a real visitor closer to that outcome. Visual quality follows function; it doesn't replace it.
What strong web design looks like in 2026
Three things separate a website that pays back from one that just exists:
- Conversion-first information architecture. The customer's decision path determines the structure — not internal taxonomy or org chart.
- Mobile-vertical native. Designed for the phone first, scaled up. Not the other way around.
- Brand carrying through every surface. Same palette, same type, same voice as social and print. Trust signalling at every touchpoint.
What we design for the web
- Marketing sites for agencies, consultancies, professional services
- Landing pages for campaign launches, lead magnets, product pages
- Ecommerce stores (ecommerce-specific service)
- SaaS marketing + product surfaces
- Hospitality, tourism and DTC sites — premium aesthetic, fast load
- Healthcare, education and professional services sites — trust-first design
We've documented the broader landscape — what's working, what's broken in Sri Lankan web — in our state of branding 2026 report and digital trends 2026 report.
How web design fits with the rest
- Brand identity provides the visual foundation web design extends
- UI/UX design owns the deep product UX where flows and components matter most
- Web development builds what we design — usually in the same engagement
- Ecommerce + WordPress + mobile apps are specialised technology pillars that share the same web-design foundation
- For content and search positioning on the finished site, our SEO services and content marketing teams plug in
What separates our web design
- Designed for the visitor, not the awards. Every page works backwards from a customer outcome.
- Component-library-first. Reusable Figma components and tokens mean future pages are 2-3 hours of work, not 2-3 weeks.
- Engineered handoffs. The Figma file is structured for the developer — clean naming, consistent tokens, edge cases documented.
- Performance-aware. We design within the Core Web Vitals budget. No 15MB hero videos that crater LCP.
- Accessibility by default. Contrast, focus states, keyboard navigation, semantic structure designed in — not retrofitted.
If your current site looks fine and converts badly, the issue is usually structural — not the colour palette. We'd start with an audit conversation, not a redesign pitch.
How an engagement actually runs.
- Step 01 · Week 1
Discovery
Stakeholder interviews, goals, audience, content audit, competitor sweep. Built into a brief signed off before any visual work starts.

Information architecture
Sitemap, page templates, user flows and content strategy. SEO and conversion baked in from the structural layer.
- Step 03 · Week 2-3
Wireframes + prototype
Mid-fidelity wireframes for every key page, clickable prototype, stakeholder review and sign-off before visual work.
- Step 04 · Week 3-5
Visual design
Full high-fidelity designs across breakpoints (mobile-first), with all states (hover, active, loading, error, empty) covered.
- Step 05 · Week 5-6

Frequently asked
questions.
Quick answers to what clients ask most before starting a web design engagement.
How much does web design cost in Sri Lanka in 2026?
A high-conversion landing page starts at LKR 95,000. A full marketing site (8-15 pages, wireframes, prototype, visuals, component library) starts at LKR 350,000. Product marketing + dashboard surfaces for SaaS and platforms start at LKR 750,000. These are design fees only; development is scoped separately.
What's the difference between web design and web development?
Web design covers the visual and interaction layer — wireframes, visuals, component libraries, motion specs. Web development covers the engineering — building the design into a working site, integrating CMS, performance, deployment. We offer both — usually together but they can be scoped separately.
Do you design mobile-first?
Yes — Sri Lanka is a mobile-majority market. We start every web design engagement at mobile breakpoints and scale up to desktop. The only exception is B2B SaaS and admin tools where desktop is the dominant context.
How long does a web design project take?
A landing page is 2-3 weeks. A full marketing site is 4-7 weeks. A product site with multiple surfaces is 8-14 weeks. These are design timelines; add 4-12 weeks for development depending on scope.
Can I use my existing brand?
Yes. We can design on top of an existing brand identity, or pair the web design with a [brand identity refresh](/services/design/brand-identity/) when needed. Strong web design depends on a coherent brand foundation.
Will the site rank on Google?
Web design contributes to SEO through structure (semantic HTML, schema, internal linking, Core Web Vitals). Ranking also needs content strategy, on-page SEO and authority — usually delivered as a separate engagement with our [SEO services](/services/growth/seo/) team.
