Building Sri Lanka's digital sports booking experience.

A complete sports booking ecosystem connecting players, venues and bookings — from brand identity and product UX to platform development, SEO and growth.

In Sri Lanka, a game of indoor cricket or futsal usually starts with calling around. Availability lives in a paper diary, a WhatsApp thread and somebody’s memory — and none of them agree.
CricBook needed more than a website. It needed a digital system connecting players, venues and bookings in one experience.

02 The big idea
Uniix Studio worked across the entire digital experience — from identity and product UX to the customer-facing platform, the venue-owner experience, content and growth foundations. Brand, product and technology were built together.
01
An identity with the energy of the game.
02
Two journeys designed as one system.
03
The product, engineered and shipped.
04
The brand, carried beyond the interface.
05
Foundations that compound over time.
03 Scope
Twelve disciplines, one team, one product. None of them were handed off to someone else.
Named the energy: the spark mark, the wordmark and a palette built for courts under floodlights.
Framed CricBook as a two-sided product — a player app and a venue tool — from day one.
Designed the player journey from venue discovery to confirmed booking.
Designed the public site to sell the product, earn trust and bring venues on board.
Built the responsive customer-facing platform and its supporting digital experience.
Per-court availability, held slots at checkout, online or cash-at-venue payment.
A console for calendars, walk-ins, pricing, staff, customers and settlement.
Created the technical and content foundation for sport, venue and location search.
Sports guides, price indexes and a blog structured around what players actually ask.
A launch system of posts and stories that reads as CricBook at a glance.
Venue-acquisition flyers and campaign assets for owners and players.
One voice, one visual language and one logic from Instagram to invoice.
04 Brand identity
Two strokes of lightning, magenta over mint, and a ball in flight. The spark mark carries the speed of the sport; the condensed wordmark carries its noise. Then we made the whole system work inside a booking interface.

Book the court.
Not the phone call.
BOOK · PLAY · COMPETE
Live availability across indoor cricket and futsal courts.
Condensed for the headline noise. A neutral grotesque for prices, times and court numbers — the parts players read under floodlights on a phone.

05 Product design
From venue discovery to payment, every step was designed as one experience. Five stages, each with one job — and one decision the player shouldn’t have to think about.
Players don't search for a venue name. They search for a game near them tonight.

The same flow, designed for desktop — one component system across both.
06 Booking experience
Eight screens, about a minute. The slot is held while you check out, so it can’t be taken from under you mid-booking.
07 Venue experience
A booking platform that only serves players is half a product. Venue operators needed to run their business — cash, walk-ins, regulars and staff included — not simply receive bookings.
Find, book and pay in about a minute.
Run every court from one live calendar.
One connected platform — a slot sold anywhere is off sale everywhere.
Online, cash, walk-in and regular bookings land court-by-court in one calendar. Fill a slot here and it goes off sale everywhere.

Console views are from CricBook’s public venue demo — the venue, names and figures in them are illustrative, as labelled in the product.

08 The system
Players and venues never had a shared source of truth. CricBook became it — every capability below reads and writes the same courts, slots and bookings.

09 Responsive
Courts get booked on the way to somewhere — in a tuk-tuk, on a commute, mid-argument in the group chat about who’s free. So the phone came first, and it installs to the home screen like an app.

10 Website design & development
The public site has to sell a product, earn a stranger’s trust and bring venues on board — while every page stays one tap from a live booking. It balances:

11 Search & growth
SEO wasn’t bolted on after launch. The information architecture follows the way players search — sport, then area, then venue — so every search path ends at a bookable slot.

Blog
We don’t publish traffic or ranking numbers for CricBook here — this is the foundation, not a scoreboard.
12 Content & social
We extended the CricBook identity into social content, promotional communication and growth assets, so the brand stayed recognisable long before anyone opened the app.

13 Motion
A logo reveal that strikes like the mark, and a vertical story reel that walks through the problem — for players and for venues — before CricBook arrives.

14 Outcome
CricBook is early, and we’d rather show the foundation than invent a scoreboard. What exists today:
15 Technology
One codebase serves players and venue owners, on the web and on the home screen. The stack below is what CricBook actually runs on.

Idea, brand, experience, platform, launch, growth — carried by one studio, so nothing was lost between the people who designed it and the people who built it.
Questions
CricBook is a sports booking platform for indoor cricket and futsal courts in Sri Lanka. Players see live per-court availability and prices, book in about a minute, and pay online or in cash at the venue where that's offered. Venue owners run their bookings, walk-ins, pricing and settlement from one console.
Uniix Studio designed and built CricBook end to end: brand identity, product strategy, UI/UX for the player app and the venue console, web design and development, the booking and payment flows, SEO and content architecture, and social media and marketing creative.
Both. CricBook is a responsive web application that installs to the home screen as a PWA, with Capacitor shells prepared for iOS and Android — one codebase serving players and venue owners.
Players can pay online through PAYable by card, FriMi or eZ Cash, pay a deposit, or reserve and pay cash at the venue where the venue allows it. The slot is held while the player checks out.
Closing
CricBook brought brand, product design, technology and growth into one connected experience — built by Uniix Studio.
